Amy Green, Gabrielle's Angels Latest Honouree

Being honored as a Gabrielle’s Angel Honoree at the Angel Ball on October 27, 2025 was profoundly humbling. The evening celebrated compassion, courage and the belief that generosity can build a brighter future. Sharing a room with so many remarkable people dedicated to advancing cancer research reminded me how powerful empathy is when it becomes action. As someone passionate about healing our planet and empowering communities, I was struck by how interconnected our missions are, healing people and the Earth go hand in hand. I’m grateful to the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for this recognition and for continuing Gabrielle’s legacy.

That night reminded me why this work matters. The Angel Ball isn’t just a glamorous gathering; it’s the foundation’s signature fundraiser. This star‑studded event honors leaders who support cancer research, and 88 cents of every dollar raised goes directly toward finding less toxic treatments for leukemia, lymphoma and related cancers. The gala exists because of Gabrielle Rich Aouad, who lost her life to acute myelogenous leukemia, and the foundation has invested over $45 million in research grants. Being part of that legacy reminded me that each of us has a role to play, whether through conservation or medical research, in building a more compassionate and resilient world. With gratitude and renewed determination, I look forward to continuing this journey.
